My name is David Cadd, but call me Dave. I moved to New Zealand in 2000 with my Kiwi wife and we live in Hamilton. I became interested in Clinical Hypnotherapy when I was in England and when I came to New Zealand decided to study at the New Zealand School of Clinical Hypnotherapy.
My comprehensive training included all facets of the discipline and I graduated with a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy and am also a member of the New Zealand Society of Clinical and Applied Hypnotherapy. Like all successful graduates from the school I follow a tried and tested structure in the use of hypnosis as a therapeutic tool. Part of that structure is listening to my clients' needs and working with them to tailor a plan to achieve the best possible outcomes for the individual. As well as having my own clinical practice where I work one on one with clients, I also address Sports Groups, Support Groups, Associations and Business Groups on how hypnotherapy can help them.
Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state of mind. When a person experiences hypnosis they are deeply relaxed yet still aware of everything that happens. Hypnosis is more than relaxation, for while a person is in hypnosis their subconscious mind is receptive to positive suggestions.
Hypnotherapy is not an alternative therapy, rather it is a complimentary therapy that helps each individual reach their own personal goals.
Hypnotherapy is not a quick fix to a problem but a tool to help the client to overcome the problem. My role is working with them using hypnotherapy to help them achieve this.
Hypnotherapy is not a "one size fits all" therapy, each client has their own needs and their therapy programme is designed to address those needs.
